Restless Sky, Restless River - a photo on Flickriver

            The Colorado River, lower right, continuing to wind through the Canyon it has been cutting for 6 million years on its sinuous way West, ever deeper into sediments laid down before dinosaurs, before shells; in the shadow of that morning’s clouds, being formed by updrafts and sculpted by wind. My vantage point is about 7,000 ft above sea level, the Canyon reaches 6,000 ft deep, these clouds range maybe 1-2,000ft above me. Mother Earth’s radius is just short of 4,000 miles, so the 2 miles shown here is just her thin skin.
