Cyclone | Mono Lake, California - a photo on Flickriver

A shot from the trip with the incredibly awesome folks at Muench Workshops helping out with their Eastern Sierras trip. Check out their upcoming workshops -- some fantastic locations!

This shot was taken soon after sunset when there was still a glow in the sky lighting up the tufas. I debated whether or not to clone out the somewhat distracting star trails, but in the end I like how the trails seem like a continuation of the cloud movement so kept them in.

Taken with a 21mm lens, 125 second exposure at f/16.
