Croatia is a beautiful country to discover many different landscapes. Sveti Jakov Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Dubrovnik is located in the eastern part of Dubrovnik Town in the tiny bay offering a distant look to the Old Town and the island Lokrum. You can book a sunset cruise from the harbor in Dubrovnik on a traditional Karaka replica or go sea kayaking.

Sveti Jakov Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Dubrovnik is located in the eastern part of Dubrovnik Town in the tiny bay offering a distant look to the Old Town and island Lokrum. It is situated about a mile away from the Old Town so you can reach it either by foot or by bus no 5 or 8. Once you arrive near the Sv. Jakov church which is situated on the top of the cliff, just around the corner of the church is a staircase to descend down to the Beach. There are about 160 steps to the beach and I must say – getting back can be a bit of a pain. This beach is a very popular gathering spot among locals, especially in the summer months. Sveti Jakov Beach, één van de mooiste stranden van Dubrovnik, ligt in het oostelijke deel van de stad Dubrovnik in een kleine baai en biedt een verre blik op de oude stad en het eiland Lokrum. Het zeiljacht Wind Surf zeilde net langs het eiland Lokrum en verder langs de prachtige Dalmatische kust naar de oude stad Dubrovnik. Het uitzicht vanaf Sv. Jakov-kerk op de top van de klif is geweldig. Net om de hoek van de kerk is een trap om af te dalen naar het strand. Er zijn ongeveer 160 treden naar het strand en ik moet zeggen - terugkomen kan een beetje vermoeiend zijn. Het strand is een zeer populaire ontmoetingsplek onder de lokale bevolking, vooral in de zomermaanden. In de verte zijn ze aan het Kajakken op zee. Zo te zien is het ook druk op een 16e-eeuws houten Piraten schip een traditionele Karaka-replica. Je kunt vanaf de haven in Dubrovnik een sunset cruise boeken.
