Falling Down - a photo on Flickriver

Falling Down

            Under normal circumstances this photostream is updated at nearly real-time or within a couple days. Thanks to a busy summer the backlog has stretched to over two months. I'll be making an effort to catch up this fall. Shorter daylight hours means the backlog will grow a lot more slowly as well. 

This was my last train for the morning in Laurel back in July. I had walked over to a crossing and stood around in the growing heat as a BNSF stack train was showing signs of getting underway a mile or two to the west. I eventually threw in the towel and walked back to the hotel, of course the train arrived at about that time. I looked for a shot of the head end that didn't turn out. The angle on the DPU (seen here) was only slightly better, featuring the drainage that passes through the Laurel wye. July 9, 2022.
