Bella, Montana Grizzly Encounter - a photo on Flickriver

            Found as a 20 lb cub abandoned by her mother (assumed to have died) in Alaska, Bella was hand-raised by the experts at Bozeman's Montana Grizzly Encounter. Unfortunately she cannot be raised by people to survive on her own in the wild, so instead she leads a very good life, with healthy food, veterinary care, and a multi-acre outdoor play area, as an ambassador for her species. 
She has been spayed so she cannot perpetuate the population of captive bears dependent upon humans for their welfare.
