The exposition hall in the Grand Palais Paris for the 1926 Paris Salon [France, 1926]

            A view of part of the exposition floor in the Grand Palais in Paris. This is the 10th edition of the Paris Salon, held from 3 till 19 December 1926.
The photograph is apparently taken before the openings day, as no visitors can be seen.
Right in front is the exposition of the Blériot concern, with at left the Blériot 165. Shown is the fuselage only (length 14,80 meter) likely due to the required space when also the wings (span 23,00 meter) were mounted. In this late day the flying crew was still sitting in ths design in the open behind a wind shield, while the passengers sat in a fully enclosed cabin. The Blériot 165 was a twin-engined biplane which first flew on 27 October 1926 shortly before the Paris Salon. Only two were built which flew with the French airline AirUnion on the Paris - London route.
Behind and above can be seen the biggest machine on the 1926 show, the Besson MB.36 a giant flying boat not finished here.
At right is a Blériot-SPAD S.61 fighter , the SPAD factory was already in 1917 a part of the Blériot concern .
At right abbove can be seen the big sign of the Schrack F.B.A. firm, builders of flying boats.
