Hidden Secrets

            Helen and I had a wonderful time at Albion Falls today, first time there for both of us.  

We've decided that since Hamilton has over 100 listed waterfalls and we've only seen 4 of them... that we really need to get out and make the most out of what this area has to offer. (Plus after some advice from my friend Gary, I finally bought a "big boy" tripod and had to try it out!  Gitzo CF 3541L with a Kirk BH1 Ballhead.)

The falls eminate over a limestone ledge that is reported to run the length of the entire Niagara escarpment, at some points being several feet thick.

This waterfall has so much history....mostly pretty nasty stuff.  Suicides, Tragic Accidents and it also served as a popular dumping ground for murder victims.  

The dismembered body of John Dick was found there on March 16, 1946. His wife was charged with the crime.
