Swiss Schlager singer and actor Vico Torriani (1920-1998) was also a popular TV show master and an author of cookbooks. In the 1950s and early 1960s, he starred in a dozen German film musicals and comedies. The favourite Son of Switzerland sold more than twenty million records.

Pretty Gerlinde Locker (1938) is an Austrian stage, television and film actress, who appeared in many Heimatfilms and film operettas of the late 1950s and early 1960s. From 1956 on, she appeared in more than 30 Austrian and West German films.

German actor and writer Wolfgang Neuss (1923-1989) established a solid reputation as a comic actor in radio, cabaret and in films in the 1950s. He caused a scandal in 1962 when he unmasked the murderer's name in the mini-series Das Halstuch (1962) before the last episode was broadcast.

German actor and writer Wolfgang Müller (1922-1960) was known for such films as Schwarzwälder Kirsch (1958) and Der Stern von Santa Clara (1958). On stage and in films, Müller was often a partner of Wolfgang Neuss. He died in a plane crash in Switzerland.

Ruth Stephan (1925-1975) was a German character comedienne of the 1950s and 1960s and a former bank teller. She came to films in 1951 via the stage and cabaret in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin. She was usually seen as a secretary or wife in garrulous or gossipy roles. She often starred alongside comic actors like Heinz Erhardt or Rudolf Vogel.

Complete with a waxed moustache and monocle, bald, straight-backed German actor Hubert von Meyerinck (1896-1971) looked every inch a poster boy for Prussian militarism. After his debut in Berlin in 1917, he became a prominent stage actor as Marlene Dietrich's partner in the 1927 revue 'Es liegt was in der Luft', as Mephisto in 'Faust' and as Mack the Knife in Brecht's 'Threepenny Opera'. From 1929, he appeared in 294 films, normally in support roles. Audiences loved him as oily swindlers, impoverished aristocrats out to marry for money, bigamists, effete movie folk or obtuse officials.
