Original Eurocopter EC 665 "Tiger" (Prototyp III) from James Bond "Goldeneye"-Movie

            Der Tiger ist ein deutsch-französischer Kampfhubschrauber von Eurocopter, die Herstellerbezeichnung lautet EC-665. Ursprünglich war er in Deutschland als Panzerabwehrhubschrauber 2 (PAH-2) bezeichnet worden, die Bundeswehr führt ihn seit seiner Einführung aber als Unterstützungshubschrauber Tiger (UHT). Er ist mit dem Transportflugzeug Airbus A400M luftverladbar. Das Triebwerk des Tigers wird von dem Konsortium MTU Turbomeca Rolls-Royce GmbH (MTR) in Hallbergmoos bei München gebaut. Die Endmontage des Hubschraubers erfolgt in Donauwörth, Marignane, Albacete und Australien.

Exponat im Museum

Es handelt sich hier um den 3. Prototypen (PT3/98+23). Ausgestattet mit voller Avionik (inklusive Autopilot und Navigationssystem), Jungfernflug am 19. November 1993 als F-ZWWT. Der Umbau zum UHT begann im Februar 1997, daraufhin als PT3R bezeichnet. Im Juni 1999 Raketenstarts auf große Entfernungen, nachts und unter widrigen Sichtverhältnissen, Wüstentests auf der Bateen AB in Abu Dhabi im September 1999.

Dieser PT3 ist im James Bond-Film “GoldenEye” aus dem Jahre 1995 zu sehen.
