This is a 114 shot panorama of the Milky Way rising above Wellington Dam near Collie, about 2 hours south of Perth in Western Australia.

The dam mural is a recent tourist attraction painted by Australian artist Guido van Helten and forms part of the Collie Mural Trail. 

This was shot down in a valley so the horizon is much higher than normal, obscuring the Magellanic Clouds that would normally be where the treeline is to the right of the dam wall. Never mind, I can still point out some other prominent celestial objects in this image such as the large, deep red coloured Gum nebula on the right, the pink Carina Nebula slightly up and to the left of that and on the far left is of course the galactic bulge near Sagitarrius with the colourful Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex just a little further north.
