This is a 58 shot panorama of the Milky Way setting over a wheat farm near Wongamine, 90 minutes north east of Perth in Western Australia.

I had initially planned on placing the lone tree in the middle but when I arrived I noticed the light pollution, from the nearby town of Toodyay, and decided instead to use that as a kind of backlight for the tree. The clouds were unexpected and I was panicking through most of the shoot hoping they wouldn't make their way to the core, I've had several trips ruined or cut short by cloud cover. Thankfully that didn't eventuate. The very bright 'star' to the right of the tree is the diffused light of Venus.
