R1138. GWR 63xx 2-6-0 passing Gogarth Halt in September, 1963.

            R1138.  Does anybody recognize the location of this shot?  Somewhere on the Cambrian I would suggest, but I can't remember where!

Peter Dean has suggested near Barmouth and looking at Google Earth I think he could be right.  It appears to be departing from Barmouth Junction (as Morfa Mawddach was called in those days) and heading for Barmouth Bridge.  Does anyone think differently?

I've now heard from 'Minffordd Ken' who's told me where it really is!  It's Gogarth Halt which is certainly near Dovey Junction (as Dyfi Junction was spelt in those days) on the line to Barmouth and Pwllheli.  It's also very close to the main road so we must have seen the steam approaching and had time to pull off the road to take up gricing positions.
