Territorial Cattle

            I don't know what it was. The cattle at Vargas Plateau were actually not quite friendly as I had predicted because we had a bad experience being charged the first time we were there. In this photo I captured earlier in our hike, they were minding their own business feeding on the pasture. As soon as more hikers showed up on the trail, a leader cows started pacing down toward the trail with the rest following. They cut off the trail seperating some of the hikers. We quickly turned back and returned to the trailhead. As always I feel a little uneasy whenever I come this park sharing the space with these cattle.
