Horsetail Falls

            It is with great sadness that I have learned about the passing of my good friend Tony Rowell. I was just up in Yosemite yesterday photographing Horsetail Falls. Each February for about 10 days the sun hits the falls in such a way that it looks like molten lava is flowing over the falls. Tony's late father was the first to discover and photograph this phenomenon. Some people actually call the location from where you take the photo Rowell's view. I would like to dedicate my photo from last night to my friend Tony who taught me so much about photography and was an inspiration.
