Cabazon Dinosaurs

I’ve taken two roadtrips recently with two of my great buddies, Daniel Krieger and Scott Jordan. On our trip, last month through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Daniel brought his drone and I was amazed at the photos he was able to get with it. He’s posted a few of them up over at his Flickr account. Go check them out.

This past weekend, Scott and I drove from Phoenix to Los Angeles and he brought his drone which I spent some time learning to fly and shooting some new perspectives myself. Scott was a patient instructor, even if I did crash the drone once near the Salton Sea (bad battery? I think?).

I know I’m late on the whole shooting with drones thing, but I’m looking forward to doing more of it in the future. There are simply perspectives that you can’t get any other way, like these famous desert dinosaurs used in Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

Another Flickr friend Patrick Boury has also done some incredible drone photography on Flickr. His night drone photography especially is fantastic!
