Waiting for Situation Normal to return.

Meanwhile, here is a list of modifications I've made to the Himmi that I found useful:

Replaced stock Bosch plug (UR5CC) with NGK Iridium CR8EIX (4218). I always use NGK and Iridiums have longer life, don't need to be gapped and offer better performance.

Removed mudguard on front forks. Why? Cleaner lines on the bike and it served no purpose for urban riding.

Reduced windscreen height by 50 percent to stop wind buffeting. (Thanks "Computer Sam" Schiff!)

Put weatherstripping between windscreen and headlight to stop the buzzing sound. Robert of Bay Harbor Motors (www.instagram.com/kawboy11/) told me to try it. It works.

Added SRC kickstand extender. Prevents the side stand from sinking in hot asphalt or soft soil.

Replaced stock silencer with a Delkevic SS70 (225mm / 9 in.) can. So the texting cagers hear me coming. It also improved performance.

Added a "BoosterPlug" - the plug proper goes between the Inlet Air Temp sensor plug (IAT) and the ECU cable. The sensor is placed on the steering head to get a better reading of air temperature. Result: peppier acceleration, especially on hills, no stalling. (Enfields tend to run a bit lean and this device tunes the EFI - stopping the cold blooded stalling which is dangerous in city riding).

That's my story and I'm sticking with it. Of course bikers just love to fiddle with their bikes. That is a factor.
