Milky Way over the Pillars of Rome in Oregon

            When it comes to night photography this is by far my favorite time of year. The Milky Way in April is low and almost horizontal. It allows for these really cool panos. This one I took last weekend at Pillars of Rome in Oregon. This is private property but the rancher gave me permission, remember to always get permission! I slept in the back of my pickup and got up at 1:00am. This shot was taken at 3:00am. I lit the foreground with some LED lights. To make this Pano, I took 108 images. It took me about 4 hours on the computer to create the final image. Lots of time invested, but I can sit back now and say I did it!
