Earlier today, I was on the phone with a friend in Arizona. Once again, I had been told that I didn't know what I was talking about whenever I had complained about the Southern Californian weather. They're absolutely right. I don't. And I have no desire to know what true heat is. I know for certain that this weekend's weather forecast shows that it's going to be a real bitch. How does one stay cool? Perhaps you can empty out your fridge and sit in it during the afternoon hours. Or perhaps, catch the latest films at the closest movie theater and marathon them until the sun disappears. Certainly, one can just stay at home and raise the electric bill by cranking the AC. Truth is, "No pleasure, no Rapture, no exquisite sin greater... than Central Air."

...Or why not spend the day far, far away from the big city or from inland. Somewhere where the the temperature drops down approximately 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

It's 90 degrees (28°C) in Los Angeles. It was too hot to walk the dog in the late morning. I didn't realize that asphalt had a liquid state.
