Righteous Among The Nations memorial on the wall of 49 Czarnieckiego Street

            During the German occupation of Warsaw this building was used as a boarding school for boys from military families. During the Warsaw Uprising it became a field hospital and kitchen. 

Jadwiga Luśniak (code name "Wichura") and Janina Dunin-Wąsowiczowa (code name "Lena") also hid Jews here and were recognised as Righteous Among The Nations after the war....
