2025-10-21 (02) Li River between Yangdi & Xingping

            these are more or less rickety versions of the so-called "bamboo rafts" (where bamboo has been replaced by plastic...) that ply the Li river, ferrying tourists along this spectacular section of the river, along which I chose to hike instead. The hiking route, which threads its way along the river, requiring 3 crossings by small river-ferries, offers the best viewpoints of the famous karst towers bordering the river, and  is, by far, not as frequented as the waters of the river :I came across less than 10 hikers along the way, while entire fleets of boats, many of them  large cruise ships,  descended the river at the same time...
