Biking along the path that follows the Rocklösaån at Lillhammar yesterday I noticed that someone had placed a plank over the stream, so I really didn't have any other choice but to walk the plank. If you do you will find yourself at an abandoned place that doesn't look like much, but has an interesting history. The last owner died a decade ago. He was known as the Eccentric Norwegian. He left Norway after WWII. His parents where Nazi friendly so he didn't have much choice. He never really lived here at Lillhammar but used the land to grow potatoes! Once in a while you would see him walking from the nearby commuter station with a bucket in each hand. I tried talking to him a few times, but found it hard to understand him. He shouted very loudly and in a unique mix between Swedish and Norwegian.
