Comet NEOWISE on Aug. 17, 2020 - The End

            Good fortune smiled on me again this evening, as I was able to frame, recognize, and center Comet NEOWISE, now 190 million kilometers from Earth, or about 115 million miles distant.

The comet is traveling outbound at about 40 miles per second, or 144,000 mph. Each day, Comet NEOWISE increases its distance from Earth by about 3.5 million miles, or about 5 million kilometers.
