The City of White Rock has a railway on the waterfront. This single track rail line is operated by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) and used by BNSF and Amtrak passenger trains.

White Rock’s beaches consist of 8 km (4.9 miles) of sand and warm shallow waters. Among the best beaches in the region, the warm, protected, water of Semiahmoo Bay provides a safe area for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. And when the tide goes out, it is a wonderful place to explore tide pools, try your hand at skim boarding, fly a kite or build a sandcastle.

 White Rock Beach is divided into “East Beach” and “West Beach”, separated by a rise in the shoreline that the locals call “the hump”. West Beach is home to White Rock’s famous pier, where it’s not uncommon to see people jumping into the deep, warm waters below, or dropping a line to try their luck at crabbing. East Beach tends to be a little quieter and appeals to families looking to spend a relaxing day at the beach building sandcastles and enjoying picnic lunches.
