The wonder of a sunrise - candid at Stonehenge bw edit

            Druid at Stonehenge on the summer solstice at the literal moment the sun rose - candid, unposed shot. I was standing with my back to the sun.

While most of the massive crowd at the stones were just hanging, getting stoned (heck, even I was getting stoned via secondary inhalation as the stench of wacky baccy was everywhere) or doing neo-pagan rituals, this old fella was watching the sun rise.

If I can still feel the wonder of a sunrise when I am his age, then that's saying something. We take each sunrise for granted but life is a gift: as painful as it can be, it really is wondrous. Enjoy it and seize every day, my friends. Love every sunrise. Feel the wonder like this old fella.

(I used a bit of artistic licence to move the stones forward in this shot as in the bw edit there was too much bleached cold grey dawn sky as a background and it looked rubbish with the contrasting dark tones.)
