Eggs and Nymphs of Shield Bugs, Singapore

Surprises are not made in a science laboratory but from taking chances randomly. I was on the trail with one eye low for stumps that could trip and the other eye for snakes with double tongue coiling on notorious vines when… I do something I never understand why I did. Stretching out, my hand grabbed a branch hanging down and casually flipped a green blade. Seven bugs and forty-two tenderfeet were detected forging a brotherly arc over a cluster of eggs. Chicken and duck eggs from the fridge, lizards and cockroach eggs in the cutlery trays...  I’ve seen plenty eggs of different sorts, so these eggs are common and nothing new. Well, my assessment may be the wrong kind of right. Instinct told me to pay attention on this stumble because there seemed something for the head to think about. Inspecting the greenish-yellow pearls more closely, I realize four are still lying in wait for “just one more minute.” Two drops of red showed through their round casing with bits of transparency. What are the chances that these inmost lives would externalize? “Hi! Hola! Hej! Hallo! Bonjour! Ciao!” In a moment of uncertainties, I let out all the languages I would love to be fluent in. Maybe my twenty-four carat verbal embrace have knocked down the shut door in their hearts. One of the occupied marbles spread a curve and an additional nearer to me grew a cheerful grin. My well wishes upon on the incipient babies were heard and answered using no words! The corners of my mouth start to twitch. I smile back cheerfully, both outside and in. Can insects follow the human mind? That’s something to think about if you ask me.
