Yesterday, a spider whose color is pale as flour prowled into my territory looking for delicious meat. He was quiet like a panther thinking I could not see. Little did he know, I was an expert in fencing. When I inversed and butted my three inch épée, he leaped off the balsam balcony like inspiration fleeing from a dejected man. No doubt I cannot fend feisty ants with fist, but I could still rap on five-foot-door with extended tailpiece. Neither can I crush baddie beetles with my short feet but I could sway from side to side in windshield wiper rhythm, and thwack mid-air predatory attack easily. As you can see, I may be small but certainly not one to be trifled with. If that yellow jacket close in and dares to be funny, I’ll thrust my dueling saber to fight this fight that we call life. Who’s the winner, you might ask. Her ovipositor with Cupid accuracy is useless against mine with lightning speed. Ah! Many times while inching towards my destination, I dreamt that the world outside was within reach through my hind fingertip. 
 
PS: The undiscerning will assert that this worm is a plain Jane without beauty. Those who perceive carefully with sight will not miss the delight. Can anyone spot the hidden in the picture? I bet Maurice with magnifying eyes could unmask within 30 seconds. :-p
