Nacres à gogo

            Les rideaux ou tableaux confectionnés à partir de coquilles de nacre donnent un cachet pittoresque dans les îles. La Pinctada margaritifera, appelée plus simplement nacre, est un coquillage géant qui produit la perle noire de Tahiti. La coquille de nacre est travaillée par les artisans polynésiens pour la production de bijoux tels que colliers, bagues ou boucles d’oreilles.
