Humbug Creek - a photo on Flickriver

Humbug Creek

            A sweet little spot along Humbug Creek. This creek is too beautiful to be saddled with that name. I hate to think what this creek looked like 150 years ago. This is the path that all of the debris, rock, and mud traveled to the South Yuba River from the hydraulic mining at Malakoff Diggins. Nature seems to recover well if given half a chance.
