At the Brink - a photo on Flickriver

At the Brink

            A kayaker headed over the edge of Loves Falls on the North Yuba River. I had just reached the foot bridge that crosses the North Yuba River right above Loves Falls after hikng down the Pacific Crest Trail from Hwy 49, when I noticed a kayker upstream heading down river. It was all I could do to get my camera out of my bag, change some settings and fire off a series of shots as the kayker navigated over the falls. I later found out that the North Yuba River is a world class kayaking river for only the brave few.
