Waldo Bridge - a photo on Flickriver

Waldo Bridge

            The Waldo Bridge is located where the town of Waldo Junction used to be. There's nothing left of Waldo Junction but this old bridge, which is still serving it's purpose.The bridge spans Dry Creek in the lower Sierra foothills. Built in 1901, this one lane structure still has all of it's original parts including the wood planks that you drive on. I've been on bridges that appear to be in worse shape than this one.
