Great Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus)

            After Attenborough we moved on to one of my local patches, Thornton Reservoir in Leicesterhsire.

One of the birds was casing off coots when the suddenly started doing the head part of their courtship display.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to change my position (10ft - 12ft higher them), so I have cropped to head and neck only, clearly they were not concerned with my presence. 
I have selected these shots from a run of 20+.
