Eurasian Hoopoe (Upupa epops) - a photo on Flickriver

            I went this morning for around 2 hours, one distant view, so record shot only.
Decided to go back after lunch, I was just about to give up, when a shout came "it's in my garden".
So these shots taken by kind permission of a local householder, who allowed strangers into her house so they could get shots of this bird through lovely clean windows. 

This species is in the same Taxonomy class 'Aves' which  includes Woodpeckers.
