A guy I knew from a guitar forum and I had only met twice put me up for three months. We are now firm friends. Flick people and especially those on 52wau2008 have given me support and guidance when I needed. They have shared their lives with me and made me feel like I wasn't alone. And for that I am truly grateful.

This is a song I wrote a couple of weeks ago. Although it is partially autobiographical, it is not cathartic. I have drawn on the feelings that I have had this past year and used them in a song. I am much healthier emotionally and much happier than I was this time last year. I had a great couple of days with my kids over the weekend. We stayed up late on Sunday, watched ELF and Miracle on 34th Street and I read "Twas the night before Christmas" to them when they went to bed. We had "Christmas Day" on Monday which was great fun. Yesterday with the help of Sarah from one of my bands we recorded the song. You will now understand why I am not the singer in my bands. The song was meant to be a wall of sound spectacular but ended up in a near acoustic arrangement
