My kids went to their Mom's, so I decided to take a walk around downtown Bethlehem, PA. I called up Michele to see if she wanted to join me.

Bethelem is well known for lots of Christmas lights, but they tend to be very conservative (ie lots and lots of plain white lights) with the christmas displays. In large part, that comes from the very old traditions of the Moravians, the original settlers of Bethlehem.

It makes for some gorgeous scenes of classy buildings, especially with a light snow fall. But, with cars driving around, and no snow, it's fairly boring stuff.

This is a small piece of a tree in the city square, right outside the public library. It was decorated in large part by homemade ornaments from community children.
