Yes what you see in this picture is real, a chocolate milk waterfall. Just kidding! I took this shot just before the entry to the Zion Narrows during the river walk. The week before we visited, Zion National Park and the nearby areas were hit with healthy amount of rain storms and the Virgin River was muddy, freezing and strong, but we decided to brave the waters and do the hike and see how far we could get. I was carrying my D800 and the trusty cheap-n-light 24-85mm in a Lowepro bag and my tripod while doing this dangerous bit of hiking with flash flood warning issued by the park authorities.

I noticed this tiny little waterfall while we were going towards the narrows and decided to shoot it while came back. The location where I was standing while taking this shot was almost like quicksand and I was slowly sinking the whole time I was waiting for this LE. Fortunately I had my tripod on a rock but I totally underestimated how sticky and difficult it will be to get out of that sticky clay/mud and had to be dragged out by my wife.
