Four Grain Bins

I didn't just photograph ice fishing huts on my trip to Manitoba and North Dakota in December. I spent a lot of time looking for and photographing minimalist winter scenes like this one. It wasn't easy, though. Manitoba had much less snow than it usually does in December, so I spent nearly a week in North Dakota searching for snow and photographing when I got my favourite soft, overcast light.

I know it's now the height of summer, but I hope some minimalist winter scenes help to cool things off for you. We are currently going through a long heat wave in Toronto, so they really appeal to me!
