Aged Lord Baltimore Hibiscus_DSC9418-copy-A3-C1

            A little more wabi-sabi, this Lord Baltimore variety hibiscus is a bit beyond its prime.  I always describe these blossoms as dinner plate size:  although the online authorities say 8-10 inches, I say up to a foot and more across, so either way this isn't any "true macro".  I've always loved these blossoms for their size and particularly for their color, but had trouble getting the color just right.  I finally remembered to put a white balance chip out there, and I think I got it right this time.
