Backyard Buckeye Tree - a photo on Flickriver

            Years ago I tossed a buckeye onto the ground out by the backyard fence line.  The nut sprouted and the tree has grown to be about 12 feet tall.  It is doing well despite suffering a nasty buck rub (antler polishing) several years ago.  In the fall, the leaves usually turn yellow and drop early.                                 This year they were red and stayed on longer than usual before dropping.
