The Pleasance - Kenilworth Castle Vertorama

Another shot from my recent commercial work for English Heritage at Kenilworth Castle

Vertical panorama of Kenilworth Castle with an Stratocumulus sky as seen from 'the pleasance' outside the castle walls. This area was once known as the 'Great Mere' and formed a formidable water defence, on this particular day it was a lovely meadow full of wildflowers. Two frame vertorama shot with the sigma 10-20mm.

As i mentioned yesterday, I had timed my trip to co-incide with one of the rare slots of good weather this summer and was lucky enough to see 4 different types of sky/clouds over the 2 days I was up there. This was taken on the second afternoon and the brief window of sunshine was beginning to give way to the next low pressure system, with these stratocumulus clouds the forerunners of what was to come later.

Most photographers will pack a few cameras and a good selection of lenses on an assignment, I like to bring my own clouds with me wherever i go too :)
