1.000 Jahre / 1,000 years - a photo on Flickriver

            Diese 1.000 Jahre alte Linde hat nie ihren Standort gewechselt aber wuchs im Lauf einer wechselvollen Geschichte doch in den Ländern Kärnten, Steiermark, Ostarrichi, und schließlich in Niederösterreich zu der Größe die sie heute hat. Sie ist zu Recht ein Wahrzeichen von Kirchberg am Wechsel.

This 1,000 years old lime tree has never changed her location but grew up in the course of a chequered history nevertheless in the countries Carinthia, Styria, Ostarrichi, and at least in Lower Austria to her today's dimensions. She is with good reason a landmark of the market town Kirchberg am Wechsel.
