Winkle Street - a photo on Flickriver

Winkle Street

            Moss Motor Tours of Sandown purchased this Bedford SB / Duple Vega coach new in 1957. Some 58 years later ODL400 is seen preserved inside the Ryde premises of the Isle of Wight Bus & Coach Museum and serves as an example of the many coach operators the Island once had. Winkle Street is in Calbourne on the west side of the Island and features a row of picture-postcard thatched cottages located next to a stream.
