            The historic centre of the small municipality of Monreal in Rhineland-Palatinate with the surrounding castle ruins of Löwenburg and Phillippsburg is really picturesque and definitely worth a visit.

As on my first visit in 20 (I have attached the corresponding picture in the comments section), I was particularly struck by how quiet the place is in the evening hours: there were again hardly any lights in the windows, the alleys were deserted, and the silence hanging over everything was only interrupted by the occasional release of my camera shutter.

Let's let the beauty sleep a little longer …
