Gathering gaggle

            Here's another fowl shot at Golden Ponds, where the population of the birds around the puddles seems to be growing. I don't know if any were harvested for Christmas dinner but they are probably replaced by now. Now where is that wildlife control officer I snapped a while back? This extends my new series. These geese are nipping at the grass and weeds around the north shore. The wealth of new life around this place shows that a new generation of water fowl has sprouted at Golden Ponds Park at Largemont, Colorado. I was chatting with a traveler when they jumped out from the drink and there I was with the long lens on my camera. 

It's a good thing that these geese are teaching the geeklings shore duty at Golden Ponds. Our Rockies mountain passes got any where from about 200-300 percent of normal snow load and Trail Ridge still loaded with snow topping the visitor center. HA.

I suppose that the pond still has delictable water plants around the shores even in early summer. The weather still bounces back and forth in the valley with a final upturn after weather blustered up four days as really more unsettled weather skipped over the Rockies just to layer on more new snow for the Mid-westers and Eastern Trump Grumpers over global warming. Which state gets the next floods? I'll probably stand back from the river.
