37415 LR1 Seen here at Dingwall on a Inverness to Wick service in the late 80's

            Built in 1965 at Vulcan Foundry as D6992 (later 37192), this locomotive was rebuilt at Crewe in 1985 as Class 37/4 No. 37415 with ETH equipment. Named Caerphilly Castle / Castell Caerffili during its Cardiff Canton years, it worked passenger services across Wales and the West Country and Scotland in BR Blue and later Regional Railways livery, before moving into EWS ownership. After withdrawal, it was stored at Long Marston and finally scrapped by CF Booth, Rotherham, in 2013 — closing the chapter on a versatile and well‑travelled member of the Class 37 fleet.
