Stanlow Sunrise - a photo on Flickriver

After roughly 7-8 attempts i almost got the conditions to capture the silhouette of the sun rising behind Stanlow Oil Refinery. Still a bit of light cloud but much better than the solid banks of cloud on almost every attempt! 

Mini gear review: I recently purchased a SRB variable filter that i'm using in this shot. I don't normally use an ND on my 70-200 as i don't have much use for it. But £36 on a filter i could use on this shot that has the bonus of helping time pass quicker(setting a timer on my fitbit is always fun lol) i thought, why not. 

Verdict: It is a handy filter but the sharpness takes a big hit. Fine for social media but not for printing 7/10

Not sure if the K&F £89 filter would be any better. But at least i can use this filter to see what grade ND would work best for this shot and get something sharper.
