Board Game Pieces

            A macro view of a chaotic and colorful variety of game pieces, taken for the Macro Mondays group theme, "Board game pieces." The frame spans 3-inches across. 

I don't own many board games, so I went to my local church thrift store to see what I could find. They had a jar filled with orphaned  game pieces for $2 (US)! I dumped the pieces out and took this picture of the mess. I recognize most of the pieces, but some I have no idea what game they are from. 

Strobist/technical  info: 
This is a one-exposure image. The scene was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 Speedlights placed 90° CL/CR, two-feet away from and 16-inches above the subjects. They were fired in Manual mode @ ½  power through Neewer 24" x 24" gridded soft boxes. 

The SB900's were triggered by three PocketWizard Plus X's. 

Lens: Tokina AT - X M100 AF PRO D (AF 100mm f / 2.8 Macro).
