Above shot is cropped and is JPEG OOC. If add a touch of saturation on Aperture 3 the colors is even better.
I have finalized the in cam settings for the EM5:
1. Initially I set the cam according to DPR recommendations
2. But decided to change the in cam setting sharpness from -1 to 0 and the images are sharper with no halo effect and prefer the finer texture detail.
3. I started off shooting with 9 fps but today I changed to Single frame and gotten very sharp images that I cannot believe what I am seeing on the LCD screen. I have shot this bird over the months with my E system and never have I gotten fine feather details/texture like this even with sharpening.
In summary, the settings for JPEG in GOOD Light are:
1. Nature mode which gives the best detail and texture.
2. Auto ISO, Auto WB, Spot metering, Single frame, Auto Graduation. Depending on light condition I tweak this around from High Key to Low key etc ---.
I have been brought up with spot metering and find the matrix metering on the EM5 to be very good - consistent exposure. Shooting matrix metering majority of the time now.
3. For Low Light and to avoid smearing of hair due to aggressive in cam NR, best switch Noise Filter OFF and reduced Sharpness to -1. Have shot with sharpness at 0 as well and the hair on the dragonfly legs is very sharp.
4.I am now shooting in both in JPEG and RAW since Aperture has released the raw converter for EM5.
I love shooting in EZ mode for birdie from GH1/2 days and carried that over to EM5 and have been using 2x digital zoom. I have reverted back to shooting raw and crop to get better IQ.
5. In good light I switch from AWB to Sun to get better color balance. Only using AWB when none of the others works.
6. Nov 24 2012: Inconsistent AF using 4/3 lens with EM5. Since day one I was hopelessly disappointed that I could not get consistent AF using my two favorite 4/3 lenses on EM5. Read some claimed that it is due to IBIS, Adapter etc. Finally there is a fix and pls see link by Mark Chan below:

I have tried using the Multiplier on my PL14-150 and Oly 150f2 and it WORKS!!!. Getting consistent AF with very sharp and detail birdie images. Thanks Mark!
Oh, I have started shooting in Manual mode and getting better exposure and colors.
