            Thanks to the Genealogical Translations group on Facebook, we have a transcription of the handwriting on the back of this photo, which the group identified as an old Belarusian dialect from the Polesie region, but written in Polish script.

Translation: 
“This is a photo of Father standing with his drunkard companion from Minsk gubernia, named Iwan Kościuk. The two of them drink a gallon a night -- giving this as a memento.”
