Mute Swan Dad - a photo on Flickriver

Mute Swan Dad

A male mute swan (Cygnus olor) that I met three times this spring.

This first time he searched for food by himself, the next time I also saw his mate and their nest, and the third time I saw them together with their 6 little cygnets

After reporting the ring on its foot, I also found that he's 11 years old and is from a little lake right where I used to live in the town of Sandnes, but has stayed in the lake where I met him for the past five years.
