Close to paradise

            Over the centuries, the Danube landscape near Wörth has changed again and again. Even today, the river is characterized by constant change. Interestingly,  Albrecht Altdorfer began in 1520 to reproduce the beauty of nature in his paintings; This is how the painting "Danube landscape with Wörth Castle" was created. The most famous painting of A. Altdorfer is the "Alexanderschlacht".

This image was made at an oxbow lake of the Danube, which is also a natural preserve.
